The
medieval villages and castles of the Rural District of Quality
“Esini Hills” rise in that well known territory for the cultivation
of the grapes and the production of the "Verdicchio" wine, exported
in all the world. In different periods of the year in these
fortresses parties and bound festivals connected with popular
traditions, with the relationship between seasons, land and
production, are developed. In spring, summer and above all autumn,
several days events, attract thousands of tourists to taste the
typical products of this generous earth.
In
the territory of the Esini Hills, there is not only the Mountain
Community of the Esino-Frasassi, but also the Mountain Community of
San Vicino, that has its seat in Cingoli and includes Apiro and
Poggio San Vicino, towns with Roman origins, then destroyed by the
wars and the time, refunded in the Middle Ages and embellished
during the Renaissance, that are nowadays dipped in an extraordinary
beauty landscape. |
